Work in progress...

I have been drawing a bit lately, but haven´t really had the time to post... One thing that I have started is an illustration project for a swim club where a friend of mine works as a coach. I have been doing some sketches for style ideas. They shall work as icons in small sizes and be easy to recognize for the kids, at the same time they want it a bit artistic and with a feeling of watercolour. Well, here are some suggestions for sea stars. I am always happy for suggestions and comments. Which one is your favourite?

  1. I do like the personality in the one with eyes!

  2. I think #10 would be easiest to recognize at icon size. #11 is my second pick. Of course, they are all very attractive so you probably wouldn't go wrong with any of them.

  3. Good to see you back, and those are really cute sea stars. I like number 10 and 11, both have that water colour feeling to them (you said they wanted that)... But the one with the eyes, I think would really be something the kids would like (its happy and fun), and I tested this on my daughter and she pointed out the one with the eyes first (asked her to pick one).

  4. Lower left, hand's down! (number 11) I read the other comments - just add eyes to number 11, and voila!

  5. Top right(no. 10), but give it eyes (like no. 12). :)

  6. 10 or 11 with eyes. Think that we like having a background.

  10. Thanks for all your comments! I think I might do two versions, at least of the first couple of motives.... and separate backgrounds so they can be used with or without background in photoshop!
