Same same, but different...

I am a bit behind with the EDiMs due to some other projects I have running, but I thought the comparision of styles above could be interesting. Me and a couple of friends went to a live drawing session some weeks ago (or, to be quite honest, another friend who doesn´t paint took of her clothes for us) and my friend Johanna and I both did a watercolour each based on the sketches. I think it is interesting to see how the exact same motive can result in such different paintings. Already in the drawing you can see that we have different styles, I think. Maybe those who follow us both could easily guess who painted which picture (her blog is here)?

  1. Love it, and its a great way to try out different mediums (we used to do that in school)and I still do it from time to time... I just found my old sketches from school, so maybe I should try it with one of them... I like the one in green.

Varkar som ni hade kul dag, och det var ju snallt av eran van att sta upp for er sa ni kunde rita, tva tummar upp for henne : )

  2. Okay, I'm not sure about this...but the only clue I've found after looking through your blog, and Johanna's blog, is that the purple back ground is done in vertical strokes and she once did something like that. They're all great. It's really difficult for me to decide who's is who's!! Wish I had a friend willing to take her clothes off for the sake of art! :D

  3. What a great friend you have! You have both produced excellent pictures too! Love the painting of your dad from the previous post, I'm sure he worked very hard at blending in really!
